Nutrient Library

 

This library is intended to be an overview of the essential nutrients (macro-nutrients and micro-nutrients) required for health.

The essential nutrients are divided into Macro-Nutrients (Carbohydrates, Fats and Proteins), and the Micro-Nutrients (Minerals and Vitamins).

Each nutrient will have a dedicated page with an overview of the purpose of this nutrient, how much is required and what can happen if we get too much or too little of this nutrient. It will also contain a list of foods which are good sources of the nutrient.

In nutritional therapy we can check and test for signs of deficiency of essential nutrients and design diet modifications / menus to help address any nutritional imbalances. This helps to restore the body to optimal functioning.
